This year Toronto joins the 2009 Digital Design Tournament, adding to the nearly 500 distinct species in populating one of the world’s largest zoos a brand new one: the fastest creatives in the world!

Come at the Sound Academy at 11 Polson St. and, as we always say, take the best of Toronto’s 2D, 3D, and motion designers and throw them on a stage, with music blaring, minutes ticking down on the clock, a fast-talking MC on the mic, and their reputations on the line! Judges for Toronto include Helen Pak of Saatchi & Saatchi (2D), Christofer Bahry of NAKD (3D), and Dre Labre of Tribal DDB (Motion); find out who else will be hovering over our competitors’ shoulders onstage on the Cut&Paste website.

This weekend, the Trash-Dance team will bring in 55DSL’s beloved hometown non other than Danger, the French electro house music producer, remix artist, and graphic designer signed to the indie label Ekler’O'Shock!

With a distinct sound influenced by 1980’s electronic music, video game soundtracks and classic synthesizer, Danger’s live shows are known for the dark, intense atmosphere; in addition to performing on stage, Danger also controls an animated, self-authored multimedia production that is projected onto the stage, similar to 1980’s anime style!
