As it often happens, one of our favourite photographers, Ale Zuek Simonetti, was there to join the 55DSL family and to show the big party to all the poor fans far far away through his perfetcly recognizable lens.

This year 55DSL partners with producer of fast-paced digital design tournament Cut&Paste for the definitive on line contest!

With the imminence of its 15th anniversary in 2009, 55DSL invites infact the Cut&Paste’s own culturally diverse, design-savvy, and urban-centric global audience to revamp the iconic 55DSL Shield logo, spinning it into a visual remix that reflects 55DSL’s culture and spirit.

Contestants will need to successfully reinterpret the Shield logo and represent 55DSL’s identity as an experimental, innovative brand. This will involve a balancing act of looking back at the label’s origins aswell as forward to its future, considering the graphic design, urban culture, extreme sports, and music influences that have always been at the heart of the label’s fun-loving, nonconformist attitude…

Now that the Fashion Weeks are all wrapped up for another 6 months, there is a minute to look back at the highlights. I hit the circuit with my camera on the hunt for the best parties and mischief I could get myself into…The On/Off London Fashion Week Party was definitely one I won’t forget in a hurry.

Aside from the 1000 revelers who turned up and couldn’t get in (each screaming “do you know who I am” ha ha)… those who did manage to sneak their way through were treated to the endless flow of Champagne, music from Patrick Wolf and THE PETH and a whole load of dancing to go with. There is no way the JLB will ever be stuck outside in any que…

It’s finally time to introduce the latest result of the love affair-collaboration between 55DSL and the hottest photographer in the world nowdays, Bronques, from the one and only galleries-voyeristic site, lastnightsparty.com, a site that is so influential to be the center of the new N*E*R*D video!

This Summer, 55DSL sent Bronques in 3 different cities to shoot his free interpretation of the “live at least 55 seconds per day”: keywords to describe the first video we get, the Los Angeles one, are David Lynch inspired, Mullholand Drive, hot chicks stuck in traffic and walking in Beverly Hills, a special cameo by 55DSL’s favourite the Bloody Beetroots… you have to see with your eyes what else is inside there…

3 supersexy videos, radically different from each other, just like the cities involved…

Next stop: Japan. Can you immagine what will happen over there?

I can say it ’cause I was there: at the amazing worldwide event for the 30th anniversary of Diesel company my bra’ Andrea was having a great time! Have a look at the gallery by clicking the link below…

New York city was the last between 17 places, beginning from Tokyo, to celebrate the company birthday. Performing live were some of the best artists of this time: M.I.A., N*E*R*D., T.I., Franz Ferdinand and Hot Chip.

With biggest surprise the British songwriter M.I.A. was rockying in the stage with a big belly…. YES! She’s pregnant! Congratulations!

During the show there were some amazing entertainment by professionals who were hanging on curtains all over the place. Attending the event there were more than 5000 people and many celebrities who were having lots of fun! To mention some: Lindsday Lohan, Roberto Cavalli, Michelle Williams, Rick Rock, Zoe Kravitz, Cory Kennedy, Juliette Lewis and many more. There was only one person missing: my other bra’ Stefano. We missed youuuuuu…!

We did a lot of photos there, and the funniest part of this all thing it was probably finding out in the end that on panorama.it I appeared as the wife of my father… ah ah ah!!!

There is still the possibility to live that 11 october’s emotion by watching some videos on the Diesel’s website. And like my dad Renzo would say…. ENJOY!

Alessia (Thanks Sofia for lending me your camera!)

Attic has once again brought an exclusive product release to Scotland, teaming up with 55DSL to offer the ultra Limited Edition artist collective project range 10.55 to its customers north of the border, and to celebrate, along with its good friends from 55DSL, will host an astonishing party in its home town today!

With tunes provided by an exciting and eclectic mix of djs (three of Scotland’s tops: Gino from the internationally renowned Motherfunk Club, Aberdeen’s Funky Transport and Frazer McGlinchey from Edinburgh’s Ultragroove) and a live set from up and coming indie outfit, Copy Haho, at Aberdeen’s newest venue, The Music Club, it promises to be a night to remember with goodie bags, exclusive discounts, giveaways and much more!

The Infart street art festival was a raving success, hoards of cool people flocked to Bassano from all over Italy to come visit the outdoor exhibition, held over 3 hot hot sunny days.

The event kicked off with a pre party at Shindy where Esa The Funky Prez MC’d over the beats.

It was a pleasurable experience, riding my bicycle around the exhibition, camera in one hand and beer in the other, under the open sky.

In one of the courtyard spaces, DJ’s mixed out their tunes for the enjoyment of the festival goers while the bar served up tasty accompaniments to the Art… beer and pizza goes well with culture.

This was a far superior way to soak in the creations (and a far stretch from your average institutionalised gallery space).

Check out the photo’s for the what you missed…
